Ben Moyer, Conservation Conscious, Award Winning, Outdoors Writer

Ben Moyer of Farmington, PA is an award winning essayist, columnist, book author and editor. His writing on natural resource conservation and the personal value of outdoor experience has appeared in dozens of regional, state and national publications including Gray’s Sporting Journal, Fly Fisherman, Outdoor America and the Ruffed Grouse Society Journal.

He has written over 600 newspaper columns and feature stories about the outdoors for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and has written as a columnist for Pennsylvania Game News and Pennsylvania Outdoor News. His feature article “All Roads Lead to Benezette” in the July/August issue of Bugle Magazine (official publication of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation won first place in the Outdoor Writers Association of America, 2008 Excellence in Craft writing awards competition for its Conservation-Environment/Magazine category.
